AWARD SEASON

Well... Unfortunately it is that time of year again my friends, that the only shows that seem to be on television are award ceremonies for celebrities to glorify themselves for DOING THEIR JOB.. I'm sure everyone would love their job if you got an fancy trophy every time you did it correctly. But that is a topic for another day.

Shift in Pop-Culture Interest 
We all know the 80's hair bands, the 90's with their grunge rock and pop music, and this generation is focused on mostly pop and rap music. And with the Grammys just passing us I decided to share how rock bands compare to artists of other genres in recent years. Over the past 5 years artists who won record of the year have been Sam Smith, Daft Punk, Adele, Goyte, and Lady Antebellum. The last time a rock band received this award was Green Day in 2006. But this does come to no surprise rock bands have never had a fair shake at this award ceremony. Their have been many classic rock bands who have never received the award.
