New Kids on the Block

Being among the Greats!

Metal bands don't normally get the lime light from the music industry outside of their respected genre. But if it's done correctly the chance to become something legendary! Being in conversations of the likes of bands such as Metallica, Tool, and Judas Priest. Avenged Sevenfold has excellent opportunity to be ranked with some of the all time great bands. Their popularity has steadily grown with every record as they have produced approximately 8 million copies sold of their 6 albums!

Here is a link to a relatively recent article on the attendance and earning of the biggest metal bands in 2014. You'd be surprised to see the bands the have already passed and Avenged Sevenfold's first album was released in 2002

Sky is the Limit for A7X!

Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) hasn't quite hit there peak just yet, they have established an identity for their band now. They've had to endure some adversity along the way. Unfortunately their drummer James (The Rev) Sullivan died from overdosing on oxycodone and heart enlargement in 2009. He played a huge part in the bands success not only was he the drummer he also was a vocalist/songwriter/pianist, The Rev was a true musician. His vocals are feature in all the albums leading up to his death, some are implemented into their new work as well. A7X went into a dark period after his sudden but rose from it and embraced their fellow brother through their music.

I want to share a link to a playlist of variety of some songs in no particular order by Avenged Sevenfold that shows their individuality as a band. I've been fortunate enough  to see these guys perform in 2011 at the Cricket Amphitheater and the can put on a heck of show! Hope you enjoy, comment on your thoughts on the bands music!
